Home FORUM Tribute Fools Season Brochure

The Saint Sebastian Players Celebrate 27 Years of  Chicago Theatre With

3 Mainstage Productions

and our 15th Annual Monologue Matchup Competition.

The season opens with a rousing musical comedy,

A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum.

Music by Steven Sondheim.

Book by Burt Shevelove and         Larry Gelbart.

Directed by SSP Member             Rob DeBock..

In this ever popular musical, a sneaky slave causes a host of hilarious problems as he plots to obtain his freedom.

"Something familiar, something peculiar, something for everyone, a COMEDY TONIGHT!"

October 19 - November 11, 2007.  Don't miss the opening night party!    Toga optional.

Followed by:

TRIBUTE  by Bernard Slade.

Directed by SSP Member         Steven Walanka.

 February 15 - March 9, 2008.

Humorous and poignant, this is the story of a flamboyant father and his stodgy son who have never "gotten" each other.

Secretly ill when his friends throw him a "tribute", he and his son work out the kinks and form a new bond.

You'll Laugh, You'll Cry. It's a great story.

Our final Mainstage show for the season is

Fools by Neil Simon.

 Directed by Renae Stone

April 25 - May 18, 2008.

In a town cursed by stupidity, a brave teacher arrives to try and break the spell. Only to fall in love and........

Well, you'll just have to come and see.
